About the event
What could be more fun than learning to identify some of PEI's edible and medicinal plants? Having a herd of friendly goats long to taste-test! I'm teaming up with the very popular Beach Goats (https://beachgoats.ca/) to offer a hand-on (hoofs-on?) plant identification workshop.
We'll explore edible and medicinal plants in field, hedgerow, woodland, and coastal habitats. I encourage people to use ALL their senses in plant identification, and so we'll touch, smell, and even taste a few. Once you start seeing the wild foods that are all around us, you'll never look at the landscape the same way again. The goats will show you their favourites, too, but be warned: they can eat things we can't!
This site is flat terrain and easy walking. The event goes rain or shine (within reason!) and registration will open about a month in advance. Questions? Hit me up via the chat on this…
