About the event
I describe Natural History as the story our landscape tells about itself. PEI's sandstone tells stories of its formation 300 million years ago and fossils it holds tell of the plants and animals that once lived here. There's evidence of the continents breaking apart to form the Atlantic Ocean, of massive ice sheets that once covered our region, and of large animals that our Indigenous people knew but that are no longer here. We'll explore all of this, along with how today's forests and wildlife differ from those of the past. No matter how well you think you know PEI, I'm betting you'll learn something new from the fascinating - and sometimes surprising! - story of our Island.
